An introduction to making and using images and typography in graphic design. Students engaged in quick exercises that introduced fundamental concepts and then progressed into more complex projects that centered on type / image delivery and use, technological dependency, and the user / reader / inter-actor relationship.

Crafting Graphic
Identity Systems

Students explored designing graphic identity systems in 2D, 3D, and 4D media through making, reflecting, collaboration, and discussion that modeled the practices for developing projects in the professional environment. The final project was a physical / digital prototype with an accompanying style guide.
